The Barrett M107A1 is the newer upgraded version of the world famous M82. A massive semi-automatic rifle, it weighs over almost pounds, and fires the massive .50 cal BMG round. Accurate up to a mile in range, and dangerous up to five miles, it’s a very powerful rifle!
The rifle has a front bipod and a rear monopod to allow for ultimate stability. The included Viper PST scope lets you easily zoom in on your target before unleashing the 10 round magazine down range.
Due to the relatively heavy weight of the rifle, combined with the semi-automatic action, the recoil is unexpectedly light. You can shoot it all afternoon without a bruise. Of course at $5-$8 per round, you may only want to shoot a magazine or two:)
Technically an anti-materials weapon, the Barrett is perfectly suited for disabling vehicles or destroying assets at a significant distance.
On a personal note, this rifle has long been one of my absolutely favorite weapons to shoot.
It’s expensive, big, and heavy, but it puts a HUGE smile on your face.
Compared to the older M82, the M107 is a bit lighter (due to an aluminum upper receiver), will work with the Barrett suppressor, has an upgraded chrome lined barrel for longer life, and a few other minor differences. The ability to run it with a suppressor is the most important difference, although if it justifies the price difference is up to you.
